Torque Limiting Clutches
Wichita Clutch has developed its standard industrial clutch designs,proven in heavy duty applications around the world, to provide bespoke high-speed torque limiting devices. These overload clutches are designed to protect the drivetrain from excessive loads induced by a short circuit in the generator.

- Typically located between gearbox output shaft and generator
- Slips at a defined torque level
- Automatically re-engages after the torque spike passes
- Package with an integral brake disc to provide emergency stop capacity
